RAMBLING THOUGHTS AFTER FINISHING PART TWO. GONNA ADDRESS MY P1 THOUGHTS FIRST. SPOILER WARNING.

1 & 2: I think Debling could’ve worked in the second half, and I’m kinda sad Cressida didn’t get a happy ending. The Creloise fell of a CLIFF after ep 5 but I think it could still be saved

5: no cishet man has ever loved his wife more than Anthony Bridgerton I’m gonna be ill

6 & 12: kanthony’s absence was felt BAD in the finale, I think their reactions to LW were sorely needed. Also Jonny and Simone have both said they’ll be at every sibling’s wedding and stick around for years but they missed Francesca’s??? Also felt their absence too much then. They’re both booked and busy I think we’ll continue to only get a couple episodes a season from them

8: Francesca did get to thrive happy in pt 2 my baby I love her

9: I think they managed to disconnect the mondrich plot even further like 😭 once again, I don’t mind them their plot just feels very empty

10: Pen and Delacroix CONTINUE to be my fave duo I love them so freaking much and they can never get rid of it

13: Portia’s growth this season continued to be 10/10 I loved her and Penelope’s relationship it really showed what it’s like to be closely related to people you oppose and the process of needing to forgive and understand them for your own peace of mind

I’d just like to take a moment today before the drop of part 2 to point out a few things about how unserious their bedroom is.

Let’s start with the obvious, there’s a gigantic mirror in front of the bed which has a great view on the bed 👀 like did Colin just place a mirror in every room???

Second the poor settee by the foot of the bed. You will soon join the fate of that lounge chair in the living room. When that day arrives may you rest in peace. Honestly Polin is really that couple who’s going to buy furniture just to be horny and break it.

Lastly, baby girl has been running away from yellow all her life, stating « I never wish to see another citrus colour » and you know what chaotic baby does? Move her out of the Featherington house just to bring her into an apartment full of yellow. Like it wasn’t enough for baby boy to sleep in the same bed as his wife he also needed to bring his emotional comfort YELLOW sheets with him. Like the boy has been surrounded by yellow his whole life and it’s not because he got the girl that he’ll stop now and honestly fair, but also poor Pen.

Just thinking about how happy I am that we got a more complex, deeper friendship with show!polin. I did enjoy the book, don’t get me wrong. But at the start, book!polin was pretty one sided on Penelope’s part. We know she loves Colin literally from the first page, but Penelope was what feels like an afterthought for Colin. It’s only when he returns from his tour and spends more time with her that he starts seeing her as a friend. He said it himself, they were acquaintances, and only more recently does he consider them being friends. He went from liking her company to Colin “my wife” Bridgerton real quick (this form of Colin exists in both bridgerton universes, thank GOD). Their story feels more like acquaintances to lovers in my opinion.

What makes show!Polin so magical, and I’m sure is the true reason for the choke hold they have on us, is the fact that we got to see their history as childhood friends develop to best friends and then to lovers. We can see the love Pen has for Colin from the start, and while he hasn’t come to his senses yet, he clearly adores her in the beginning as well.

Then we have the letters. My dear, sweet, completely inappropriate letters (only in regard to the lack of propriety). Yet another contrast between show and book Polin. Their letters truly fortify their friendship to the viewer and add even more magic to their story. Penelope is eager to talk to the man she loves and she is elated that he wants to talk to her too. And Colin gets the space to be himself in these letters. Penelope has never once made him feel silly for his rambling about the places he’s visiting while his family doesn’t shy away from brushing him off or chastising him for talking about his travels. He knows that there is at least one person back home that is excited to hear from him. His heartache confusion over not hearing from her on his second tour only solidifies how dear her letters and friendship are to him. Penelope plays such a large part in his life, he spirals when he thinks he lost her friendship. “Is there something wrong, Pen? Between us, I mean” gets me every time 😭.

We see the yearning from Pen for two seasons, see her protect and love Colin in secret, and heartbreakingly see her give up hope that he will ever love her in that way. We also get to see Colin look for her at every social assembly, protect Pen multiple times, and when he FINALLY realizes his feelings aren’t completely platonic, we see his own yearning. This makes the entire journey all the more gratifying for the viewer.

I can’t believe it sometimes that we finally made it. We got our Polin endgame. It’s been a long few years but those years just made the reward all the more incredible. The boost of serotonin I get watching them finally end up together is truly unmatched and hasn’t diminished no matter the amount of rewatches/GIFs/fan edits I see.

It’s been 6 months and not a day has gone by that i haven’t thought about my babies finally getting their happily ever after. I cannot, will not, do not want to give up the choke hold these two have on me.

Day 19 of my Polin Kinktober and this is a continuation of yesterday's post: Having said that, the prompt is Daddy Kink, enjoy!

When Colin first asked her to call him Daddy she wasn't so sure of it.

Yet, she did realize in time what was that about. He needed to take care of her and being dominant. That she could do. She loved when he took care of her and was dominant.

Whiplash Opinion on the last 5 mins...

Thankfully talking out my feelings I think I understand why I'm numb. I've been so angry at myself trying to figure out why I'm just like...what's wrong with me? All day. Because I loved this season. Like seriously I enjoyed Season 3. I am not one of those people who hated it or am wanting to complain about it.

But I think my issue is simply the ending. The last 4 episodes were jam packed with feeling. And not easy feelings. They were angsty. There was anger, sadness, jealousy, fear, loneliness...and then love, devotion, loyalty, bravery, empowerment. All of that in 4 hours is a lot to work through. And we went through it all.

And then suddenly, its resolved and so very quickly they wrapped it up. With very little transition. We literally went from a wedding, to Colin sleeping on the couch and avoiding any intimacy with his wife, to resolving the main story, to a 10 second sex clip in bed to BOOM here's a baby THE END.

I think the edits they did right before release hurt them. Removing the montage hurt that piece of intimacy for Polin that would have helped ease feelings back into where they were pre-revelation. it would have eased the audience into family Polin even if it was simply easing us into that bedroom scene. I'll be honest that scene came on like a jump scare.

Mind you I love seeing it but I was like WTF is happening. I would have loved to have seen them entering the room together or laying in bed first together. Something that wasn't as abrupt. They lost the intimacy right at the end and it sort of hurt the ending.

And it left me feeling a bit numb and I think that's what I'm trying to recover from.

Again, I loved the season and I'm happy with Season 3, I still think its the best season of the 3 we have. But it was a pretty big case of whiplash in those last 5 minutes and that's all post editing. They messed that piece up. That's just my two cents.

Shipping should be fun, for the shippers and the shipped. I'll never try to policing feelings or thoughts but the fandom needs to learn to behave. If your emotions or thoughts make you a hater, you need to step back (and go to hell maybe). On the other hand, critical thinking is fair game and I would like to address two rebukes against Nic I've seen a lot lately: the hic given by relationship with a big age gap and the gaslighting towards fans.

First, the issue with age gap is definitely a real one. My problem is that she hasn't confirmed her relationship with Jake. What we know is what she has said in interviews: that she thinks people at Jake's age are babies / too young for her. When she's asked about her crushes, she always chooses people age appropriate and, for what we know, it would be the first time she's with someone that young. And even if she's with him, she seems to try to deviate that narrative. I mean yes maybe Jake was on her lock screen but she didn't want it to be seen. What she wanted us to see was her picture with Golda, holding her hand with intertwined fingers. What she wanted us to know is that she feels lucky when she can bring friends to events and talk with them as they are getting ready. And she made it clear that she wasn't happy with the pap pics and that DM is often BS. So, at least, she's clearly not promoting this kind of relationship. Maybe because they are not dating, maybe because she wants privacy or maybe because it could hurt her professionally. The point is: she sees the issue and is not sending the message that this kind of relationship is unproblematic.

I read also a lot, especially on Twitter, that she's not consistent and that she is gaslighting fans. It is said about two topics: her ask for privacy and the Lukola shipping.

About her asking for privacy and the way she brings Jake everywhere, and used her relationship with Luke to promote a show, I'll say what I've already said about her behavior with Jake, she won't change her behavior because of what we are saying. She's unashamedly herself, we love it when it's about her political awareness, her cute unhinged behaviors, her Queen statements, ... So we can't be mad at her when it's about Jake. If she feels she's right, she won't be afraid of the consequences, we've seen it with her advocacy for Palestinians. And she's kinda right here too, there is a difference between what is given and what is taken from you, there is a difference between stories posted by her, pics taken with her consent and stolen pics. Yes you can act accordingly to reality (and hide your bf/ rumored bf because there is no privacy when you are a celebrity) or you can act accordingly to your values and what you think reality should be. Nic has made her choice.

She's also accused of gaslighting fans about her relationship with Luke.

First I've read that she's hurting Luke when she entertains the ship while he stays quiet. It's crazy how people don't have memory when it's about sm. Luke does it too guys, and he's probably the one who keeps me on the ship because yes it's less often but it's crazier imho. Of course there are the jealousy, the staring, the check on her boobs, the bum pinching, the sneaky touchings, the moment in Brazil when he was putting Nic's hand on parts of his body that are not for friends or the infamous "I could be the Ken for hEeErr" (among other crazy things), but given the timing, let's say it was all PR (it wasn't). But after the 90 days, we had the story with the bloopers which he had to download from Twitter then cut to post as stories on IG (why Luke why?), the 3rd October post which doesn't make sense without the Lukola context, and the shared selfie. (We can also speculate about the wink to Nic biscuits'post in his Spain dump, the copy of Nic's font, the use of the Xx/xx, the "somewhere in Mayfair", his hands in HB post about Nic's fitting, ...). Yes it's less Lukola/polin content than Nic but look at his sm activity, proportionally it's huge. He barely posts about his fashion appearance, criquets about Viana, some hotel promotions and that's it, the rest is about Lukola (not even Polin in fact). So no I don't think Luke is hurt by Nic entertaining the shipping, they're doing it together.

So some fans feel betrayed by Nic because she has posted some Easter eggs implying she's dating Luke. I think it's unfair to say that. I agree she hasn't completely shut down the "more than friends" allegations. She keeps saying the same as they were saying during the tour: they are friends (not just friends) and blablabla about the unique relationship they have and that there is love, and oc no mention of a partner. So no, she's not really closing the door, but she's definitely not saying something is happening rn. And let's be honest, she has friendzoned Luke a lot. I'm the first one saying it always has been coupled with mixed messages, again not closing the door but not saying something is happening. The other Easter eggs are songs, the ring, the font, and a few posts about how great Luke is, the polaroid and the shared selfie. Nothing saying they are together rn. Everything about: Luke is important to her, and is kinda always on her mind. I'm not saying it's crazy to be a ring truther or to say the meeting with her family was meaningful, there are hints showing you could be right but you can't be sure. So you can't blame Luke and Nic if you were wrong and didn't understand their message.

I'm not a hypocrite, yes they're playing some games with the shipping, but it could just be fan service. It would be unfair to say they've said they were together.

Now why are they doing it and why don't they clarify their relationship with Jake and Antonia? Big question and that post is already way too long...

Violet Bridgerton Prequel Spin Off Idea

I know both Julia Quinn & Shonda have said they would love to explore Violet's story in a spinoff. I don't know if they would do her and Edmund's story or give her a present day spinoff with her relationship with Lord Anderson.

Either way, I have an idea that I think would do well based on a similar format we got with Queen Charlotte.

Past timeline:

We could see Violet & Edmund's love story. How they met, became friends, fell in love, got married, and started the Bridgerton Family.

Alongside this, we could also include Portia Featherington's back story. We know that she did not have a happy marriage and that she married for security, but I do wonder if she did ever love another but wasn't allowed to married them because of status. I'm also very interested in learning about how she got to where she did with Lord Featherington.

Present Timeline:

We could see a look into Violet's relationship with Lady Danbury's brother and maybe see her struggling with it because she does have feelings, but she is also worried about moving on from Edmund.

Portia Featherington's daughters have all found loving marriages and she finds herself happy, but also wishing for a chance at love. Now, that her and Violet are family, the two begin having teas togethers and sharing moments with Baby Polin, maybe getting ready for a special ball/party to celebrate the new Lord Featherington's birth, etc. And it's during their many chats that Violet sets her sights out to help Portia find a love match.

Her older sisters (Prudence and Philippa) had always tore her down, giggling how Penelope preferred books, sitting by the window looking out onto Grovesner Square. Penelope didn't have the confidence to counter her sisters' words until she was forced into society a year younger than she had wanted.

She didn't realise what day it was, and the fact her 21st birthday had rolled around.

She woke up to find her husband between her legs (which wasn't an unusual occurrence), he brought her to her peak and shuffled his way up the bed.

"Good morning, my love," Penelope smiled, greeting him with a kiss - not caring, he still had some of her, left on his mouth.

"Good morning, Mrs. Bridgerton," Colin replied, pressing a second kiss to her nose. "Happy birthday."

Penelope knew she could easily blame the blissed-out state he caused for her moment of confusion. "Hmm? What did you say?"

"It's your birthday, Pen," he tells her, looking down at her with his own look of confusion.

"But, my birthday is the-"

"8th day of April. Which is today."

Penelope sits herself up and looks at Colin. "It's my birthday?"

The morning of her birthday (being one-and-twenty) was spent a lot different to how she had spent her previous one. Last year, she was acknowledged (somewhat) by her family, she and Eloise were not on speaking terms and she was ignoring Colin’s letters.

However, this year. She was married, happily. Ever so happily. And she had recently become a mama! To her darling Thomas. Deep down, she did not care what gender her baby was, she did hope for a little girl. A little girl all to herself.

Colin played with one of the loose ends of Penelope's updo, not really giving a damn what his mother-in-law was thinking about him. He was absolutely smitten with his wife. Nothing would ever change that.

He took his eyes off Penelope for just a moment, to glance out of the Featherington drawing room (the sounds of Prudence and Philippa complaining about anything falling on his deaf ears), he could see Anthony making his way across the square from Bridgerton House.

He felt a silent sigh of relief leave him. It wasn't that he didn't like his in-laws, but the way they treated Penelope grated him the wrong way.

"A visitor, Lady Featherington," Mrs. Varley told Portia as Anthony made his way into the yellow/green drawing room.

"Oh, my! Lord Bridgerton!" Portia gasps, sitting herself higher in her seat. Anthony was closely followed by Violet, who smiled (for just a second) at her daughter-in-law, cradling Thomas to her side, and then frowning just a little.

Anthony didn't say anything for a few moments. "I am sorry to interrupt this... lovely moment, but it is time Colin and Penelope came to Bridgerton House to continue the... festivities."

"What festivities?" Prudence asked.

Penelope looked down into her lap, reaching her hand over to lace her fingers with Colin's - acting as an anchor so he doesn't completely explode. "Whatever you are thinking, please, do not say it."

The hand, which wasn't laced with Penelope's, was now clutching the side of the patterned chair. "I believe it is time we were leaving, Pen," Colin tells his wife, as he hears Prudence repeat her words. "The festivities, Prudence? It is your little sister's birthday."

"It is your birthday?" Philippa asked.

“Oh, Phillipa,” Portia sighed, even before Philippa gave birth - she wasn’t the… smartest… of the bunch. Portia stood up and cupped her daughter’s face in her hands. “Do enjoy your birthday with the Bridgerton’s. We will be here when you come back for supper.”

Kate stood in front of the birthday girl, gently tying a party hat made by Violet beneath her chin. Penelope watched Colin chase the now toddling heir to the Bridgerton title - little Edmund II.

"Are you alright, Penelope?" The current Viscountess asked her sister-in-law.

Penelope was silent for a few beats. "How did you know you were expecting Edmund?" This was something they couldn’t discuss as Kate was on a trip to India with Anthony when Penelope realised she was expecting.

Kate looked at Penelope with wide eyes. "I was horrifically ill. You could not keep me away from a porcelain bowl if you tried," Kate chuckled for a moment. "Missing my courses was another sign."

"Were you ever tired?" Penelope asked. "I once had a three-hour nap on some sheets. Colin had to scrub the dried ink marks off my face,” they both giggled. “Before I was expecting Thomas, I loved salmon. But ever since, I haven’t been able to find myself in the same room. Even after the birth, I cannot stand it.”

Colin watched from the swings as Penelope and Violet were talking under the gazebo. He smiled as Violet reached over to play with the Featherington heir’s feet (although at 4 weeks old he is technically the new Lord Featherington).

"Uncle Colin!" Augie gave his uncle a child-like shove to his thighs. "Uncle Colin, you promised to play!"

Colin was somehow able to pull his attention back to his nephew. "Indeed, I did. I did promise you."

Colin crouched in front of his nephew, whilst keeping an eye on his mother, wife and son. There seemed to be a bit of a kerfuffle as something happened. He mentioned for Benedict to take over from what he was doing.

Augie made a noise of protest. "Auntie Pen needs to speak to me. Is it alright if Uncle Benedict plays with you?"

Augie's face twitched and looked at the other Bridgerton son. "I like you more," Augie told Benedict. The second-born son stuck his tongue out childishly as Colin got up from the ground.

"Pen?"

"Can you help me, darling?” She motioned to Thomas, who had sadly been sick all down the front of her new green dress.

Colin turned back around after sending Rae to get Penelope a new and (more importantly) clean dress from across the street, as well as something for Thomas.

“Come on, let’s get you both cleaned up,” he leaned down to kiss her but felt her step back. “Pen?” She has never stepped back from a kiss before.

“Do you honestly want to kiss me whilst I have your son’s breakfast down the front of my dress?”

“And I have never thought you could look more beautiful.”

“With Thomas’s breakfast on my dress?”

“As a mother to our baby boy, and being my beautiful wife.”

Scandal free Bridgerton yet to be found

Okay...but if you think about it. Violet could be happy for Polin being scandal free only...it was not scandal free from the start and she had her hand in it LOL

Like we know Portia had been telling to the whole Ton Debling was going to propose and then Colin goes to the ball (with mommy's blessing), interrupts the dance before the Lord proposes, Debling leaves, Penelope leaves, Colin leaves and all that PUBLICLY and then the very NEXT day the Polin engagement is announced LMAO

This reeks of SCANDAL but Violet is happy because she practically pushed Colin to this direction (well minus the carriage in her head) and then they go forward all PROPERLY about it.

There is an official engagement party (oops Penelope faints) and they declare the wedding date in the church (wait Polin dances in the church) and there is PROPRIETY.

So Violet is happy that she finally gets an unproblematic love story -almost- scandal free and THEN:

Penelope Bridgerton is Lady Whistledown.

And then we get the Polin baby...quite early on. Not something unheard of but mother Violet KNOWS lol

I mean...she really really THOUGHT Colin and Penelope would be scandal free..she really BELIEVED IT.

And now she probably thinks okay. At LEAST Francesca is scandal free. Sure, special licence and quick marriage but it was all very proper and quiet and then enter MICHAELLA.

At this point I would....should...feel sorry for Violet but I am sure it is mostly her GENES working there because have you seen how she acted with Marcus? Ogling him as he ate? Like Daphne did with Simon and Colin did with Penelope and the only diversion is that Antony instead of staring at Kate eating he was...sniffing her!

Part 2 to my incredibly long reaction to the incredibly short trailer

Part 1

In other news, less dramatic ones, Kanthony are home and they’re bringing with them some much needed order and sense back into the mayhem that is the Bridgerton home and everyone’s happy about it

Yes Anthony, things have been swift. They know. They definitely know the gentleman Colin prised himself on being is long gone, and that he’s compromised Pen and the worst thing is Colin’s not even half apologetic about it. He’s just so pleased with himself? Look at him and his emotional support liquor, he’s li ke « hehehe I did finger her in the back of a carriage, it was wild, I finally know what love is hehe »

El is also hanging out with her emotional support champagne. “Here’s to truly knowing each other, completely” that stings. Also Colin is catching up on the fact that Pen is not being truthful, he’s slowly waking up to all the blatantly obvious clues. Queue to said blatantly obvious clues (also the ring!!!):

The boy is so confused though when she says she’s been writing letters. He’s like “to whom??? I’m right here??? Tell me there’s not another suitor you’ve been secretly seeing” —> actually talking about this do you think that’s how Colin starts to think that he has competition and makes up a completely fictional rival??!

In other news Pen is just there hanging out with a family who finds emotional support in alcohol while she’s just hanging out in her psychological horror show. It’s ok baby, breathe and go tell him. I promise he’ll find it way more appealing than we all thought originally.

Also did I mention I need more horny and domestic Polin??? And they look so good in their new flat??? Like it’s literally their colour. Did Colin really go out there the very next day and was like “I need a blue, green, and yellow flat for the love of my life”?

Ok this is where I start to freak out. First he’s exchanged his emotional support liquor for emotional support tea. So the angst?! I’m gonna need my own emotional support liquor

Also this is so strange to me, he’s in their flat most likely, he’s sitting on the couch. It’s morning so he’s had time to process. Pen (if the shot right after is the same scene) barely dares to go and see him but she also has her hair down and looks to be at home. So are they already living together before they get married? If so the scandal. Or is this ep 8? But there seems to be pillows on that couch too? So did he sleep on the couch? Do we get to see the awkward and fragile state of their relationship, where they’re hurt but their love for each other is still so incredibly deep? If so I will die in the angst ditch that is Polin

And we’re back to lighter stuff, I think this is ep6 so he still had no idea. And just the way she giggles? Oh my heart cannot handle the sweetness.

WHAT AM I GOOD FOR??? So much Colin. You’re worth and count for so much my sweet summer child. Oh hero complex Colin, we love you oh so much. I was dying the whole way through but this is where I perished. THE ANGST. They really need to meet each other midway though. She needs to let him in and he needs to learn that she does not need saving, she needs love and companionship.

Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 5 Reaction

I have done this for the first four episodes, so I will do this four the next four episodes. I am super excited to watch the last four and am very excited to see all the Polin love and drama! Here we go!

I love the Bridgertons warm reception to Penelope, but was expecting some shock, but it's like they all already kind of knew! And them being so happy it's Penelope is so cute! Eliose is justified in her actions here, I totally get her, Penelope is still keeping secrets from him and knows it will devastate him.

Where I don't understand Eloise is that if she was such close friends with Penelope and paid enough attention to her, she would have picked up Penelope's crush on Colin. Show Eloise sort of irritates me in that she is very self centered and likes to hear herself talk, but doesn't really listen to others.

Queen Charlotte, I think has reasons to be upset with Lady Whistledown. LW has been right about a lot of things, but sometimes she could be sharp and call the Queen and the court out, which is tantamount to treason. LW has been blinded by the power she wields to thinking she has as much power as the queen, but the queen has infinitely more money, power, and might than a writer, so she should have been more careful.

I love me some Kanthony, yes! I've been missing them in the past episodes and now they're back! They're going to have a baby and I want to shout out loud like Anthony did. So so cute! I want to see as much Polin in future seasons!

Eloise, Eloise. I get the anger and confusion, but to question your entire relationship? I hate this rift between them that is not in the books and hope for a reconciliation, but I hate this. Peneloise is a hallmark friendship and super cute. The writers better reconcile them!

I like that the Bridgerton brothers aren't objecting Penelope or making fun of her or anything and just focusing on how swiftly the relationship is moving. Anthony is becoming wise in his years and his marriage to Kate and him telling Colin to tell Penelope how he feels is gold coming from a man forced into marriage in the books.

Portia Featherington, ugh. I love to hate this woman! I think the actress eats up her scenes and she is so infuriating. I totally understand Penelope's lack of enthusiasm for speaking to her mother or engaging with her, it's been a steady stream of neglect and abuse from the Featheringtons all her life.

Fancy on the neighbor boy? Shut up, Portia! He loves her! I would see her side due to Penelope's spinsterhood, but Portia has always overlooked Penelope which is why she is the way she is. And the Bridgertons treated you harshly because of Portia's awful schemes regarding Marina that she knew and cosigned. They were awful and should be chastised. And her entrapping him is rich when Portia had all her schemes in the past.

Come through, Colin! Yes, I predicted that Portia would get a telling off moment and here it is! You go, Colin! The Bridgerton boys are so gentlemanly and chivalrous. This is giving me Anthony telling off the Sheffield- Sharmas and I'm here for it.

Oooooh, mirror scene, mirror scene! I have seen pictures from this scene and had some spoilers and now it's here! Colin is so in love and so cute for this. Penelope is so broken and traumatized she doesn't realize her amazingness and beauty! But Colin sees it and wants her to see herself as he sees her. Yes, yes, yes!

This is so passionate and hot! More of this please! I love how Colin keeps making Penelope look at herself and see her beauty. I also love that this is in the light and the day where nothing can hide. They are also portraying first time sex really well, he is so gentle with her!

I love how into it and focused on her he is which is such a contrast to how he was with the prostitutes. He is so into her pleasure that he is so pleased to make her feel good. Love that for him.

More Kanthony! I'm here for it, they are soooo cute! I love seeing Kate and Anthony and hope that they are here season after season. I love seeing the entire family together.

Love Francesca and John as well. They are going to get married soon I can feel it. I would normally think that they are moving too fast, but I like them so much that I don't care. I think the actors portraying them really do a good job of showing who the characters are and they're undeniable chemistry with each other that them getting together is a foregone conclusion at this point.

I love Kate and think she is a great Lady Bridgerton. I loved last season and am so glad she is figuring in the story still. I love her being a good big sister to Eloise. Kate is so intuitive and wise that this conversation makes sense to happen and I love how Eloise actually listens to her.

I love Varley she is so funny and amusing to me. She is so loyal to the Featheringtons. I hope that we don't have another Featherington scandal to contend with. Portia, keep it together.

Luke Newton is sooo hot! Yummy! And so is Nicola! Perfect breasts indeed!

I saw this coming in a way about the queen. She is pissed at Lady Whistledown and I get that LW is weak right now because she is distracted by falling in love with Colin. The Queen is not wrong, this would be the perfect time to pounce. I like the change from Lady Danbury issuing the challenge to the Queen in the show because the Queen is far more invested in LW in the show and it shows how powerful LW is, even having the Queen as a rival or adversary and getting away with it. Plus it makes the reward and consequences bigger.

Tell him Penelope! She's not going to anytime soon I fear, but I wish she did!

Eloise took Kate's advice and is talking to Colin. This is funny because even in the book Penelope finds it odd that Penelope and Colin got together and was sad she was losing a friend, so I see her reaction here and get it. Especially being at odds currently with Penelope. But I get Colin, too. Eloise loved Penelope and did think of her as a sister.

Ugh, Lord Greer. Poor Cressida. Matches like these were more the norm during this time and it's good that Bridgerton is going here. Love stories like the Bridgertons are the rare stories for the time.

Ha! The look on Penelope's face when Portia steps in! Like what have you done with my mother? I'm glad Portia is changing her tune, but it is hilarious because she has allowed such trauma to be done and said to Penelope over the years. Featheringtons support one another, lol.

I love the matriarchs loving on Penelope! Penelope is such a smart and exceptional woman, she is Lady Whistledown for goodness sakes. So I'm glad that all these other brilliant women see it too.

I don't really like Lord Anderson, that much but I don't know if it's my gut reaction or Lady Danbury's stink eye. I trust Lady Danbury so there's some drama happening here between them and until I know, I don't like him. His smile seems fake.

Eloise is not wrong here, she's not making it about herself or being childish. She is giving Penelope time to tell Colin and also speaks of how Colin would be upset knowing that Eloise knew. It's going to make Penelope lose her mind to give her a deadline like that, but here we go.

I wasn't sure where they were going with a conflicted Penelope and Eloise, but I'm kind of liking the drama. This is a relationship we've seen since Season 1, episode 1 and we're invested in this friendship. So to see Eloise so bitter and disappointed is juicy. She is right, Penelope is hiding something and it will hurt Colin.

I love that the game Charades reveals that Eloise and Penelope are the group's intellectual giants. They are best friends and one of them is Lady Whistledown and so I love that for them. They are so brilliant, no wonder that they are best friends and that they are wallflowers, they are miles intellectually from others.

Oof, Cressida is becoming desperate! I think this is going to be a turn from which there is no return. I was getting to have sympathy for her and was enjoying the friendship between her and Eloise, but now I think her desperation is going to drive her to a bad path. Plus, why is she attacking Eloise? Eloise is smarter than her, and has found out who LW is and is just not telling anyone about it. Eloise is trying to be a good friend and trying to get Cressida down a bad path.

Poor Penelope, she must be feeling so stressed and panicked right now. I like this episode for the pacing and the drama. Tick tock is right. There is so much going on. Baby announcement. Cressida's news. Penelope's fainting.

I knew from the books that Cressida was going to come forward and I like how the show is framing it as an act of desperation. I still don't like the decision to come forward as Lady Whistledown, but this feels more complex than in the books, where Cressida is just a hateful cow.

Well, I loved this episode it had sexy Polin in it as well as lots of drama. She still hasn't told Colin and that reveal is going to be filled with drama. I hope for more passionate scenes and for more drama for the next episodes along with a glorious reunification with Eloise.

Season 3 has been so good so far. The perfect blend of romance, humor, suspense, and drama. Lots of fan service. I am satisfied!

I read a fanfiction where Penelope was kind of the opposite of her canon counterpart. Her fanon counterpart was similar to canon Eloise. She did not like the idea of marriage because getting married would mean she would have to have children and Penelope did not want to be a mother. The thought of carrying a child for nine months and having her body change to accomadate the baby, experiencing painful labor and childbirth, and having to care for another human being until they reach adulthood terrified her. The story is very similar to s3 with Penelope changing her entire wardrobe and Colin volunteering to give her lessons and her managing to snag Lord Debling but the difference is she's very adamant about marrying Debling even though Colin desperately wants her to marry him because Debling doesn't want any children from her. In the story if he were to die Pen would become an extremely wealthy widow. Debling had no other male relatives. Penelope knew that if she were to choose Colin she'd have to give him children because Colin would want a family and Penelope does not want to be a mom. Colin loves her so much that he was willing to give that dream of his up - to be a father - but Penelope declines his proposal after their carriage ride because she loves him and wouldn't take that away from him. But surprise surprise (they actually had sex in the carriage after Colin told the driver to continue on when they reached Bridgerton House) and Penelope discovers she's having his kid on the day of her wedding to Debling and has no choice but to call off the wedding and marry Colin instead. In the epilogue Pen is the mother of a baby boy who is the next Lord Featherington and while she's happy deep down she resents Colin for making her a mom. She loves her kid and loves her husband but begins to distance herself from them until one night when Pen was reading in the drawing room her son who is a few years old asks her why she doesn't love him and Colin and the story ends with Penelope breaking down.

The saddest Polin fic I've ever read.

And now I'm crying too. 😭
